The Booty~call
Dictionary defines HYPOCRITE as a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, esp. a person whose actions belie stated beliefs.
Have you ever met or encountered this kind of individual? I have. In fact, a lot of times. I want to share some of my stories with them one subject at a time. The rest will be in my future blogs.
This is the story of the first hypocrite i know.
I used to have a coworker whom i also considered a friend then. She is tall, very pretty, really sexy and even looks like a celebrity minus the bad breath (sorry!). We met in that company where we both worked at but she's been employed there for a couple of years that time i got hired.
I noticed that the guys in our workplace don't seem to respect her. They told me to stay away from her coz of her bad reputation. Some say that she is often seen holding hands with different males. I know it kinda hurts that some boy talks about your friend that way. I didn't wanna believe any of them. I don't judge a person by what other people say. They may just be jealous or anything.
As a friend, I always try to defend her and hang-out with her to get to know one another. She posed like a real good girl and told me a lot of people are envious of her. She then introduced me to her family and her mom always invites me to the house. Her parents like her to make friends with more girls than guys.
We share stories especially our love life. She told me about her long time boyfriend and how he's so crazy about her and all that crap. Finally, i got to meet him one time. He was based in the North East while she lives South East. Said he visits here once in a while. After a few days here, he went back to the north. A few weeks/months passed, i asked her how's her bf doing. She said, they broke up. Obviously, i felt bad for her, gave her encouraging words to lift her spirits up and try to forget the pain it caused her.
A few months later, he came to visit again. She was so happy telling me the good news that they get back together. I was happy too. Then, he left and they broke up again. He doesn't remember to call, text, email or any form of communication when he is in the other state. But when he comes back, they're like inseparable. The same story happens over and over. What the heck? It came to a conclusion that she is somewhat a booty-call of some sort.
One day, we met an italian guy while eating at subway. He invited us to come over to his yacht that following weekend and she wants to go real bad. I told her I'm not going cos I'm not comfortable with it and we don't even know this person. Besides, I am engaged and she has a boyfriend for christ's sakes. She got upset about my decision.
A couple more hang-outs later, she seem to be getting tired of my company :( even though i was always there to give a ride or buy her subway sandwich since she always say she doesn't have any cash on her.
Then i realized she loves to meet different guys and wants to spend time with them more rather than be with the same friend (me) every time. My advices don't work with her. As the saying goes "Birds of the same feather flock together".
Finally, i decided we don't have the same mindset and interests so i stayed away. I cannot change her outlook on life yet i believe and hope she will learn on her own in due time.
By the way, i forgot to mention she's 21 years old and I was 29. Eight years age gap. Though not to brag, people say they cannot distinguish our age difference by looks alone. Sometimes, people say that she looks older than me. I feel elated but i hear that too many times. I also think they're just kissing my ass hoping they would score, LMAO! Would never happen in a million years.
She did call me still, to ask for a ride but i denied her requests right away. I don't want to be her driver or financier. Since then, we don't talk anymore though we exchange hi's and hellos every time we see each other. Now, we don't see each other often coz i quit my job after having an incredibly adorable baby girl.
